NORTHUMBERLAND WOODLAND BURIAL & CREMATORIUM

A beautiful natural burial & memorial ground in the heart of Northumberland.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Service.

Join us on Sunday 21st September at 14:00 hrs as we commemorate the 85th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

Hosted by RAF Veterans Northumberland, as we gather around our Spitfire Memorial to pay respects on this special day.

Following the service there will be a presentation in our chapel by Brian Hoskins, former Squadron Leader of the Red Arrows Display Team.

We hope to see you there.

Northumberland Woodland Burial & Crematorium is ran and owned by Husband and Wife, Scott and Laura Clarehugh who still live on site.

Founded by Scott’s late father, Steve Clarehugh in 2002, we have been supporting families through difficult times for over two decades. Set in 38 acres of semi mature woodland and wildflower meadows, ideal for short walks and enjoyed by many, as a place to find peace and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Visiting us…

Visitors are welcome all year around, during daylight hours. No appointment is needed, however if you would like to be shown around please get in touch and we will happily meet with you on site.

We are located just off the A1, 8 miles north of Morpeth and 11 miles south of Alnwick at Bockenfield Wood.

Meet the Woodland Herd

Our herd of 22 pigmy goats are permanent residents in our grass paddocks which line our driveway.

If requested by loved ones, the flowers from service’s are donated to the goats, who enjoy native flowers and greenery as a treat! You’ll often see them sunbathing outside or playing on the climbing frame.
