Merlin Wood is a mature woodland, mainly made up of Oak trees planted in rows to form beautiful avenues dappled with sunlight and scattered with snowdrops.
Take a walk with your family and choose a special tree as a dedicated living memorial, a place to lay cut flowers and to visit on difficult days.
Ashes can be scattered at the base of the tree, which is then dressed with wood chip, and a Slate Memorial Plaque laid at the base. Alternatively many families choose this option when they are not ready to part with the ashes of a loved one, or simply don’t have any ashes to scatter but feel the need to have a chosen space dedicated to a loved one.
There is no set rule and this option offers a special chosen place to come and reflect, plant bulbs and lay flowers on special occasions without the commitment and finality of an ashes burial.
Plots are purchased on a 10 year lease basis and can be renewed in 10 year increments.
Pricing is made up of three elements;

Weather your loved ones cremation has taken place at Northumberland Crematorium or at another crematorium, this option is open to all. Your loved ones ashes will be carefully placed into our rose gold scatter urn, and dispersed amongst the Scots pine trees in the Merlin Wood.
This protected area will be retained as an woodland space for you to come and visit during moments of solitude and reflection, to remember your special loved one.
