Arranging a Funeral & bereveament support

Our special team has decades of experience in taking care of families in their time of need. Before planning a service on our site you will need to appoint a Funeral Director, we will then work with your chosen Funeral Director to prepare everything you require on the day.

Linda is Crematorium Manager and our bereavement support specialist. She has over 18 years experience as a Funeral Director, a profession which she loved dearly.

If you have lost a loved one or wish to make plans for the future, Linda will talk you through the process, what to expect, and can discuss options with you as well as introduce you to an appropriate Funeral Director that suits your families needs. Linda has a wealth of experience and has already supported thousands of families in our region and we are proud to count her as a valued member our team.

Need a local venue to hold a wake or funeral tea?

The Northumberland Arms is a fully re-furbished 1820’s Coaching Inn, originally built by the 3rd Duke of Northumberland. The Northumberland Arms is home to a beautiful bar, lounge and restaurant, immaculately decorated and by the River Croquet. Located alongside us in the idyllic village of Felton, The Northumberland Arms is a short 5 minute drive from Northumberland Crematorium. There are rooms of different sizes available for hire, which includes a private dining lounge accommodating up to a dozen guests, a garden room ideal for parties of up to 30, and for larger gatherings, several areas can be utilised. Flowers and plot decoration

We understand that many visitors wish to lay flowers at plots to mark special occasions for those who have passed and are deeply missed. Fresh flowers are permitted however we do ask that you remove all plastic and non-degradable wrapping. We encourage to planting of native bulbs or wildflower seeds and would be happy to advise if you aren’t sure of what would be most appropriate. We will remove flowers and natural wreaths as part of our ongoing site maintenance, once they have wilted. Any items not permitted will be removed and stored for a period of 3 months. Health and safety

Our meadows and woodlands have grass pathways however the ground can still be uneven. To avoid trips and falls we recommend that flat footwear is worn whilst visiting the site or attending a service. If your require any assistance please don't hesitate to get in touch, we will happily assist you in any way that we can. During winter months it is advisable to wear waterproof footwear such as wellington boots.
