FAQs
What is a direct cremation?
A direct cremation is a funeral with no service, no attendees or formal funeral arrangements. The coffin enters the building via the west entrance and is often transported in a private ambulance. Direct cremation is a low cost, no fuss alternative to a traditional funeral service.
What is an attended with no chapel service?
This option cremation has a little more formality than a direct cremation but there are no mourners present inside the chapel or no chapel service.
Loved ones can choose a piece of music to be played as the coffin is placed onto the wheeled bier, after a moment of reflection the coffin is then taken through the chapel for committal. Mourners can gather outside the chapel and watch the hearse arrive, with our outdoor speakers meaning that the music played can be used as a time of reflection for those gathering. You could even take a walk around the grounds and through the woodlands whilst the cremation takes place.
