Visiting us
Visitors are welcome all year around, during daylight hours. No appointment is needed, however if you would like to be shown around please get in touch and we will happily meet with you on site.
We are located just of the A1, 8 miles north of Morpeth and 11 miles south of Alnwick at Bockenfield Wood.
Supermarine Spitfire
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk IA R6762 was part of 57 Operational Training Unit at Eshott, training pilots during World War II. The replica of the iconic war bird was unveiled in it’s new home at Northumberland Woodland Burial and crematorium, on 12th April.
Our site is part of what was once RAF Eshott, with the replica being placed on one of the former Spitfire concrete tie downs.
We welcome visitors during daylight hours.
